Student Book Featured in Rosemont Park Story Walk

Mrs. Bonikowsky's grade 3/4 class walked nearly three kilometres from South Nelson Elementary to Art Gibbon Memorial Park on May 15 to share their new book, “The ABCs of Nelson.”

New Principal at L.V. Rogers Secondary for 2025-2026

School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) announced today that Mr. Ian Cooper will serve as the new principal of L.V. Rogers Secondary School in Nelson and the REACH program, effective August 1, 2025.

L.V. Rogers Secondary student and Salmo resident Corben Mikol has been named a 2025 Loran Scholar. He is one of 36 exceptional youth from more than 6,000 applicants across Canada and one of only 6 students in B.C.
