SD8 provides opportunities for meaningful in-person and online engagement between the Board of Education, staff, communities and education partners. Public engagement processes related to strategic planning, annual budgets, school calendars, policy changes or other matters of public interest will be shared on this website and amplified through social media, conventional media and various other communications tools such as emailed newsletters as applicable.

SD8 has developed a process and plan to guide public and partner engagement based on the following principles:

  • Transparent
  • Respectful
  • Inclusive
  • Optimistic
